Welcome to

Sacred Heart Parish
Colorado Springs, CO

Served by the Congregation of Holy Cross

CoronaVirus Update:

Sacred Heart Parish has received word from Bishop Sheridan that all Masses and Parish Activities are canceled effective March 13, 2020 through March 31, 2020 due to concern of the Coronavirus. He has made this decision on behalf of the entire Diocese of Colorado Springs in conjunction with the Bishops of the Dioceses of Denver and Pueblo. This includes ALL MASSES at ALL CHURCHES in ALL three Dioceses.

At Sacred Heart Parish this includes the cancellation of all Masses, faith formation activities and classes, weddings, funerals, confessions, parish activities and events, visitations and distribution of Holy Communion in nursing homes, hospitals and private homes. Anointing of the Sick will be offered if there is an imminent danger of death. During this time, Bishop Sheridan has dispensed all parishioners from their obligation to attend Sunday Mass. The also includes the cancelation of all activities at our facilities including The Lord's Dinner on Sundays, our Food Pantry on Mondays and Thursdays and all AA group meetings.

We understand that parishioners may be frightened and confused during this challenging time. We want you to know that there are many ways that you can stay connected to our parish community and Catholic faith during this trying time.
Some suggestions include:
- Praying at home as a family
- Reading scripture
- Visiting our parish website for news, updates, Catholic resources and access to our online giving portal. (Contribution envelopes can be mailed to the Parish Office at 2021 W. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80904).
- Fr. Ron will continue to offer his Sunday homilies on our website at: https://www.sacredheartcos.org/homilies-articles--videos.html and on his blog at https://ronaldraab.com/
- Visiting our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/tricommunity/
- Liturgical Press is offering a free digital access to Give Us This Day for those who are not able to attend Mass. Visit https://giveusthisday.org/Digital
- Watching Mass live online at https://catholicextension.org/stories/sunday-catholic-mass-online?fbclid=IwAR2AeOY8HYBBhV_qcm5Oshryd4nO0P8CVJgGrTuRG77Co_OMtvYQJch287w

We will send you updates as we receive more information. Please share this message with anyone who might not have internet/ computer access. Above all, we want you to know that we will be praying for our parishioners, our community and our church. We ask that you do the same. God bless you all!

Sincerely,
Sacred Heart Parish Staff
