On Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at 8 am, we will have a Memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church for Br. James Blaszak, CSC, who served at the novitiate for ten years and died on Dec. 5. Br. James was the Procurator of the Holy Cross Novitiate in Cascade for the past ten years, where he cared for the kitchen, supervised and taught novices how to cook, assisted with maintenance projects, and procured goods and supplies for the house. A humble and gentle soul, he will be greatly missed.

Funeral for Doris Morall is on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church. ​Burial will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery immediately following the funeral. 

Funeral for Kathleen Moore is on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church. Burial follows immediately at Mount St. Francis Columbarium.

Sacred Heart Parishioner Steve Handen died on July 12, 2021. Steve was an advocate for our homeless community. He was a member of The Bijou Community. He founded the first soup kitchen in Colorado Springs, and founded a columbarium where the cremated remains of those who have died on the streets are buried. Steve’s funeral will be on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church. The funeral will also be live-streamed on our website. Immediately following the funeral there will be a time of remembrance in the Parish Center Gym. All are welcome.
